A full line of quality inflatable boats bearing the internationally recognised Plastimo brand, has been launched by RFD at the Sydney International Boat Show.
The 20 model Plastimo range being launched on to the Australian market covers both conventional inflatable boats and RIBs in length variants from a 2.0m tender through to a 3.5m RIB.
“As the authorised agent for Plastimo in Australia, we are delighted to now include the Plastimo range of inflatables in our RFD line up,” said Mark Barker, MD of RFD.
“RFD has been involved in the inflatable market with the AquaPro range for many years, so it is a market segment that we know well. We believe that the Plastimo range is perfectly suited to the Australian market, in terms of product suitability, product quality and price.”
The Plastimo range includes the Raid tenders, Fun Series, Yacht Tenders and Charter Range of boats.
The Plastimo Yacht Tender range covers six models ranging in size from 2.4 m to 3.5m. With a V type rigid hull, these models are suited to faster cruising in safety. To make them easy for cruising yachtsmen, the Yacht Tenders can be easily mounted on davits thanks to the lifting eye bolts being fitted as standard equipment.
The standard Plastimo inflatables are manufactured from Heytex fabric, a product especially produced for inflatable tenders. Heytex is a multiple layer fabric which has superb air retention and offers excellent resistance to abrasion, UV light and the marine environment.
For use in tropical Australia, Plastimo produce a range of inflatable boats and RIBS under the ‘Charter series' These boats are manufactured in heavy duty Hypalon material, ideal for use in tropical environments.
All Plastimo boats are supplied with, paddles, pump, repair kit and a valise as standard
