Sail Sydney entries close today

Entries for Sail Sydney 2009, the former Sydney International Regatta, close today, Friday 20th November 2009, so get your entry in now!

This ISAF Grade 1 Olympic and Youth classes event, organised by Yachting NSW, is the second leg in the Sail Downunder series and should not be missed. Entrants will face tough competition from around the globe – an opportunity to check out the competition before heading off to Sail Melbourne – the first round of the ISAF Sailing World Cup.

Numerous internationals are attending Sail Sydney. The Laser fleet will be very competitive with Beijing Olympians Michael Leigh (CAN), Martias Del Solar (CHI), Daniel Milhelic (CRO), and Tom Slingsby (AUS) among those battling it out for first position.

Other impressive fleets are the Laser Radial and RS:X classes, with numerous International competitors and high-calibre Australians entered.

The BIC Techno 293 will make its debut at Sail Sydney 2009. A feeder class to the Olympic RS:X sailboard, organisers are expecting to see a healthy number of BIC's attending the regatta on its inaugural occasion.

Currently, there are 132 entries from 13 nations spread across the 11 Olympic, International and Youth Classes entered for Sail Sydney 2009.

Entries received after Close of Business, 1700hrs Friday 20th November 2009, will be charged with a late entry fee.
