Pulled out the parental priority base tour invite here in St Tropez as the Australia SailGP Team were preparing for Round 3 of Season 4. Space is a bit tight here so teams are sharing tents and the Aussies are with the Americans. With team sponsors Red Bull and Skyy Vodka, it seems like a perfect match.!
Half of the teams were out training so the tents were pretty empty as I was shown around. This is one of the advantages of having a team sponsor as these training days come out of the team budgets and is an area the Aussie Team are working on.
It was great to see the Flying Roo looking shiny and fast, but the most impressive part was the 29m wing which was setup and hanging in the tent all on its own. When you stand next to it, you realise the sheer scale of it and what a great job the SailGP tech teams have done with it.
