SailGP – United States underway during pre-season training in Bermuda

The United States team, led by driver Taylor Canfield, has hit the water to begin a pre-season training camp in Bermuda.

The team, which began training on Sunday, is also testing the in-development T-Foils, which are due to be rolled out across the fleet next season.

Athletes from the team’s full time Season 4 roster – Taylor Canfield, Anna Weis, Mike Buckley, Mac Agnese, Jeremey Wilmot, and Peter Kinney – have all been undertaking training alongside a group of additional U.S. athletes.

These include 2024 Olympic bronze medallist Hans Henken, who previously raced with the team under former driver Jimmy Spithill, Scott Ewing, Malcolm Lamphere, Leo Boucher, Stephan Baker, Justin Callahan, and Tommy Sitzmann.

The U.S. is the first of four teams taking advantage of the Bermuda training camp. ROCKWOOL DEN is set to join the team later this week, before Germany and new team Brazil arrive next week. All teams are sharing a league-provided, neutrally-branded F50.

The 2024/35 Season, SailGP’s most expansive yet, kicks off in Dubai on November 23-24 and will visit some of the most iconic cities in the world, including New York, Auckland and Geneva.

A number of host cities in Brazil, the United Kingdom and Germany are yet to be announced.
