Bluewater Cruising Yachts, the boat building company located in Cardiff, New South Wales, has taken its 16th order for the Cygnet 20 trailer sailer.
The order, from a Northern Territory couple, now means Cygnet 20 orders are booked to Sept/Oct 2020. Bluewater MD David Bradburn says he is are very excited to see these numbers growing. “This beautiful, gaff-rigged trailer sailer features water ballast, is light to tow, has a carbon fibre rig and takes just 15 minutes to set up” David says. “It sleeps four and sails well in both light and strong conditions.”
Hull number four will be shipped to WA shortly and will be exhibited at Mandurah Boatshow from November 16 to 17, 2019. The last three orders to be built in 2019 are from NSW, another from WA and one from QLD.
“It was also envisaged that as numbers grew we could form a small fleet to 'raid' – sail and row – on beautiful Australian rivers/waterways,” David added. “So far we have been on Hawkesbury and Hunter Rivers. The oars are proving a popular option to take advantage when there is no wind and partake in some exercise.
“A draft schedule of Raids for 2020 is currently being drafted.”
