- Nia Suardiaz secured yet another victory at her home stop
- On the men’s side, today we continue from the men’s quarter finals
Tarifa, known as Europe’s wind Mecca, warmly hosted the GWA Wingfoil World Tour with perfect Levante wind conditions, marking an exciting start to the event.
On Wednesday, we witnessed the completion of the full women’s elimination where Nia Suardiaz took yet another event win, coupled with 4 rounds of the men’s elimination.
A total of 9 women and 28 men were registered to showcase their skills at this pivotal Surf-Freestyle event, marking the penultimate event of the season. Tensions are running high, especially in the fiercely contested men’s division, where the battle for the 2023 World Title intensifies.
On the first day, Chris MacDonald, the current leader, stole the spotlight with a breathtaking display of high-scoring tricks. He capped off his incredible performance with a flawless Backflip to Frontside 7 combo, earning a perfect score of 10 points. Chris absolutely owned the day, achieving the highest heat score of 39.2 points and leaving no doubt about his dominance in the competition.
Thursday promises to be a pivotal day for the Men’s division, with the potential to see the crowning of our new Men’s Surf-Freestyle Champion. Don’t miss this opportunity to join us at Valdevaqueros Beach and experience the most thrilling action firsthand.
