The Ronstan Tasar Victorian Championship is being held on the Gippsland Lakes in Paynesville over the Labour Day weekend (10-12 March) and is shaping up to being one of the best ones yet.
With its magnificent location 296 kilometres east of Melbourne via the Princes Highway, the town of Paynesville is surrounded on three sides by 350 square kilometres of Gippsland Lakes.
Previously known as a shipbuilding centre and port, today the area is popular for boating, swimming, fishing, water-skiing at Newlands Arm and surfing at Ninety Mile Beach – and now for the 2018 Victorian Tasar State Championship.
It is strongly recommended that you book your accommodation now. The 50th running of the Marley Point race is on at the same time, so accommodation will be limited.
