Greece: The races could finally start on the third day of competition at the Slalom Worlds in Paros, Greece.
Somewhat around midday, after the daily skippers meeting, followed by a athletes meeting, the wind started to increase and was measured between 11 and 14 knots.
It was time to give racing a try, as the race committee pushed for the start of the races of the Men’s division.
Heats 1 and 2 of the first elimination were completed after a few cancellations and retrials. The wind became more unstable during the afternoon and everyone was back in standby mode. The wind did not improve and the athletes were released for the day, tomorrow the races will continue for both Men and Women.
Tomorrow’s forecast looks very promising and everyone is looking forward to some extra good races in stronger winds.
