Col passed away on Thursday 23rd Jan 2025, leaving behind him a huge legacy in junior sailing here in Australia.
Col will be remembered fondly by many people, including the vast number of junior sailors who learnt their sport around the Sydney coast, specifically in the Manly Juniors, Flying 11s, Sabots and school teams racing.
On a personal note, Col was RO at the first regatta our kids ever attended, which was a Manly Junior Nationals held at Point Wolstoncfoft. He created such a positive vibe around the kids, it was difficult for them not to enjoy the event. My wife also got caught up in his positive presence and joined Col on Start Boats for many years.
Heartfelt condolences to Col’s family and his many friends. He was a special person who added much to our lives.
